Partnership, relationship, friendship, sharing, together, couple, team. ?All of these have the same foundation. ?What is that foundation? ?I know it in my heart. ?How do I describe it? ?Is it significant?

Here is an interesting story about me. ?I want to reference a phrase that I use a lot as I coach people. ??We teach what we need to learn most.?

One of the areas that I emphasize in many of the trainings I deliver to companies is the idea that the relationship side, the human components of an organization must be recognized as important and must be built and developed in order to create ultimate success in that organization. ?Relationship needs to be an equal focus alongside the results and process of an organization.

The relationship components most commonly identified are: communication, trust, connection, teamwork, honesty, risk, understanding, compassion, passion, vision, heart, leadership, commitment, and accountability.

Makes sense as you read it. ?Now, back to ?We teach what we need to learn most.?

I am currently redefining my life, again?.. What matters, where I want to dedicate my time and my energy. ?Revisiting my vision, my purpose. ?It feels like a major one: an important time to visit my life. And take new action. ?

With this awareness, I am connected to much of how I am thinking is revolving around who I want to be with. ?What lifestyle I want that supports me as a person, who I am vs. what I want.

Some of you might read this and say, DUH, of course that is what I should focus on. ?For me, however, it has not always been a priority. ?In fact, for the last 3 years I have completely lost sight of this side of me. ?Of this way of living. ?Of the importance of relationship, especially the one I have with myself.

Now that I am reconnected to the relationship side, I am shaping a new life. ?One that begins and ends with me being of service to those in my life; one that puts my family, my friends, my team (including my horses and dogs) at the top of my list. ?And I do this joyfully and with a recognition of the tremendous value that comes from the relationships I have in my life.

I am once again learning what I have been teaching and preaching. ?How cool is that!
